Guangxi White marble, also known as Kwong Sai White (sometimes written Kwong Sal White), is a fine-grained white marble quarried in Hezhou, Guangxi, China. Its bright white background carries faint, fine yellowish lines, and many buyers know it as the “Chinese Carrara”. From original block to finished product, Guangxi White marble is used for wall and floor tiles, slabs, countertops, vanity tops, washbasins, window sills, mouldings, carvings, mosaics and waterjet medallions, and it remains a favourite material of architects and designers.
Hezhou holds the largest white marble reserves in South China, estimated by geological surveys at about 2.6 billion cubic metres. The stone is high in purity and whiteness, with good strength and low water absorption:

Eastwood has processed Guangxi White since 2005. Our staff work at the Hezhou quarries year-round to select blocks for colour, vein pattern and soundness. Selected blocks go to our factories in Shuitou, Fujian, where they are sawn into slabs on gang saws, cut to size, finished and inspected, then shipped from Xiamen Port. Because we handle every step ourselves — quarry, block selection, processing, quality control and export — our Guangxi White stays consistent from one order to the next.
Rose Aurora is a selected grade of Guangxi White marble with a soft white background and warm, golden-beige to light rose veins that run diagonally across the slab. The veining is fine and evenly spread, giving the stone a warm, calm character that works in both modern and classic interiors. We supply it as slabs, tiles and cut-to-size pieces for floors, feature walls, bathroom vanities, countertops and stair cladding. A polished finish brings out the warm tone of the veins, while a honed finish gives a softer, more natural look.
Arabescato is a selected grade of Guangxi White marble with a light grey-white background and soft grey veins that sweep diagonally across the slab, in a pattern similar to Italian Arabescato. The veins are hazy and slightly diffused at the edges, giving the stone a gentle, misty movement rather than sharp contrast. Its cool, neutral tone suits both commercial and residential projects, from hotel lobbies and office receptions to bathroom walls, vanity tops and kitchen splashbacks. Slabs can be book-matched for feature walls, and are also supplied as tiles and cut-to-size pieces.
This is the classic Guangxi White, widely known in the trade as Chinese Carrara. It has a brighter white background than the other grades, crossed by clear grey veins that run diagonally in long, gently wavy lines, a distinctive pattern that buyers recognise immediately. The contrast between the clean white ground and the defined grey veining gives a crisp, elegant look close to Italian Carrara, at a more accessible price. It is our most popular grade for floors, wall cladding, bathrooms, kitchen countertops and large hotel and residential projects, and is supplied as slabs, tiles and cut-to-size pieces.
A clean white background with soft, light grey veins running diagonally across the tile. The low contrast gives a calm, bright look similar to Greek Volakas, well suited to large floor areas and bathroom walls.
White background with sharper, darker grey veins in long diagonal lines. The stronger contrast makes it a good choice for feature walls, vanity tops and book-matched panels.
White background with soft grey clouding and small grey flecks, close to the look of Italian Bianco Carrara. The even, cloudy pattern hides joints well on floors and in kitchens.
White background with grey veins that bend in short, wavy and zig-zag lines, a pattern typical of Guangxi White. It gives movement and character to walls, floors and cut-to-size work.
Guangxi White is a natural stone, so each block shows its own variation. In the trade it is often compared with Italian Carrara and Arabescato, and we grade blocks and slabs by background whiteness and vein pattern so that every order stays consistent. The marble is dense and fine-grained: slabs normally need no mesh backing, and the stone takes polished, honed, bush-hammered and other textured finishes.
